Brothers and Sisters:
An update on some parish projects:
1.
The Middle School is finished and occupied.
It cost $670,000. The money
came from savings & a generous gift of $150,000 from Mr. &
Mrs. Charles Cappellari, Sr. family.
2. During the construction of
the new school we discovered some undetected problems in the old school.
A.
The steel girders under the school were badly rusted. They had to
be cleaned and repainted. About four beams needed to be replaced /
reinforced. This project should be finished this week.
B. Ventilation
under the old school had to be improved at a cost of approximately
$10,000.
C. The steam pipes need to be replaced this summer.
3. The
floors in the old 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade had to be taken up and replaced.
4.
The A/C on Mary’s side had to be replaced at a cost of $7,200.
5. Finally
(I hope) the cathadraticum and I.P.A. assessment are coming due -
about $23,000.
Thanks for giving till it hurts.
